Christmas Cards!

So I have been working on Christmas cards this week.

This is one that I love however when I posted it to Facebook it looked oh so bad!

Here is another I did this week

Into Fall we go!...

I have to say I LOVE the fall.

I cant wait for all the cute boots and sweaters. lol

Plus we all know once we hit into fall then Christmas isn't too far behind.

I Went out into the early 7am light this morning and was able to take some AMAZING photos.

I haven't "went" and took photos I have been too sick or trying to play catch up at my home.

So being able to get out and really give it 15mins was nice. Yes I said 15mins and I got a total of 367 photos. I plan on going back out tomorrow but I will have to wait and see if i can do it.

This article tells you about your Back button auto focus, Single point AF,  and AI servo focus tracking.

I found the tips are very helpful and is something to read.

When you get to the photos he gives a little detail about how he took them.

Again I like reading everything I can on photography. I find no matter what, I learn something.

Cute Little Man

This past Thursday I was able to go see my brother. Now it was only for about a hour, so I was trying to sneak in photos of everyone.

So as I was going over the little amount of photos I had taken ( i mean like 20photos at most!)

I noticed the lighting was BAD oh so BAD.

I lost about 24% of the photos due to the lighting being what it was.

My setting were I'm guessing now because I had to keep changing my setting.

f1.8 with a ISO of 800-400 Now the ISO I tried to keep below 1600 because then it starts to look all nasty!

I need to see if my ISO can go higher if not I really need to get a new camera!

Now my FAVORITE  photo out of them all is this one!

The love of a mother to her child makes me wanna cry.

This photo was perfect to me and once I showed it to Nicole my brother's wife she demanded a copy ASAP lol

The makings of a vintage setting

Mason jars seem to be something I am always looking for.

Now I hit http://pinterest.com/ To see what I could do with these for photo shoots.

TONS of ideas came up and one really caught my eye...

I have a young women who has a vintage dress almost like this one ...
(dark brown cowboy boots will be worn with it)

Now once I saw those lights in the jars my head went "DING!"

I'm thinking near sunset with tons I mean tons all over a open field all around her!

beautiful picture comes to mind. 

So now come March/April I will be holding a vintage photo shoot. 

I am even thinking doing this on the beach here with the sunrise.

The more I think the more ideas I have LOL!

Now me and my friend have had differences on where to really get a good shot.

Here are a few photos of places we have found.

Now this one below here is almost the same as a old barn near my home here in NJ.

The inside is old however the floors are just enough old looking that they dont make noise when you walk on them. 

Yes I went inside!

It's amazing inside I can really see her sitting on the floor with the candles all around her.

There is also a somewhat tall grass area on the other side with wild flowers that will also be perfect for photos!!

 Look for the photos to come once spring gets here. I know I CAN'T WAIT!!! :-)

I love how she breaks down the camera setting and gives tips on how to make it work out great.

This is something I am going to have to try one day. I can also see this being a great wedding shot maybe? Hmmm ideas start to flow when you see work like this.

Citrus Salt Scrub & D.I.Y ideas I love!

Ok have you ever needed something and werent sure where to get it from. Yea we can ALL google but come on google doesnt always get us to where we want to really be.

So I found this site adelynSTONE: DIY Ideas & Tutorials.

OH MY! there are tons and tons of ideas and D.I.Y projects you can try.

I jumped right in and made me some Citrus Salt Scrub.

And all I can say is WOW… ladies/gents you have to try this. not only is it simple but it feels amazing after you have used it only ONCE! Now after 3 weeks of using it and saving myself money cause I didn’t need to buy any scrubs from the store. I found my face, chest, and elbows felt like heaven.

Now after a week my husband noticed the fancy jar in the bathroom and asked when I got this ( yea a week of it sitting on the sink he then saw it) . I told him I got it a week ago and it is amazing. So as most men do he asked how much did this cost.

I wish you could have seen his face when I said  ”oh lets see… like $3 which includes the jar its in” His jaw dropped! Now he has seen the prices of scrubs I have picked up before. And they can cost a very pretty penny.

Remember you can get these jars from the dollar store. Which is where I got mine from.

Canon Camera Lens Mugs

What to get someone that is a photographer or loves photography? 

Well photojojo.com has the BEST gift anyone (& me!) would LOVE to get. Now after reading review after review they have the best deal and the tall white mug has a travel lock lid. The small black one DOES NOT! just so you know.

Now I would really like to have it in a box that makes it really look like a lens. Why? cause My thought is give this as a gift to someone and make them think is really is. Like for example giving this to my mom. I would really enjoy seeing her face when she thinks its a lens then to see her face when she sees its not LOL and to take photos would be amazing!

V-day is coming up soon maybe this will make a great gift.

I live in Long Branch NJ. Which is great till the summer gets here then its traffic, traffic, and well MORE traffic. Which makes going to the beach impossible.
